A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am retired and my wife is semi retired which means we spend an enormous amount of time with our dogs not to mentions the personal commitment to our pups. Mom and Dad are family and inside dogs that get the absolute best care, food and attention that we can give them. The pups are handled and socialized from birth; and I mean every day in every aspect of their life. I have a custom built whelping bed in my home assuring a climate controlled environment and allowing us to give them the attention they need not only with keep everything clean the pups also get a daily sponge bath everyday to keep them fresh. I have even gone as far as sleeping next to my female when she's in labor, not only being there for her comfort but to assist with any birthing problems that could arise and thankfully neither mom or I have never lost a pup. The new born pups are wrapped in a warm towel as soon as mom gets things cleaned up so they learn our scent and handling along with their mom right from the start and every day until they leave us. My pups are raised underfoot and inside. My feeling is, this type of imprinting with Humans and the socializing with our other 4 lagged family members is the foundation for a well adjusted, happy and healthy pup that's eager to learn and wanting to please. We spent the extra time necessary to assure you're getting the best, most well adjusted, healthy new fur baby you could hope for.
My pups are taken to the Vet, (the same Vet I've had for years) at 3 days old for a health check and to have any dew claws removed, their wormed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks along with another Vet visit at 6 weeks to start their vaccinations and another health check to assure they are as good as they can be when moving on to their new homes. We also use an all natural flea and tick repellent to keep the babies comfortable and so you don't take unwanted critters home and have a 2 year no nonsense, common sense health grantee.
We only have one breeding pair, at the moment a 70lb. chocolate female and a 100lb charcoal male, both Mom and Dad have had DNA and genetics performed through Embark and Mom is OFA cleared for hips and elbows (Dad will be done as soon as he is of age, he is just shy of the minimum age requirement of 2) We are NOT a puppy mill and despise those that are, I simply just love the whole experience and bringing together good people with good dogs rather they are pets, hunters, service or therapy dogs or just man's best friend.
We've had both mom and dad since they were old enough to come home with us and their both onsite for inspection. I actually made 4 trips to visit my male (2 hours each way) before I could even take him home just to bond and imprint with him and he's the best.
Each pup comes Vetted with all necessary paperwork for AKC registration, all up to date shots, health records and a pretty nice new puppy starter kit making your new pup's transition easier for both of you.
